Houston soccer bolstered its attack Tuesday by signing sophomore forward Jada Arthurs.

The Brantford, Ontario, native joins the Cougars after spending two seasons at fellow Big 12 school Cincinnati.

“She’s direct, aggressive on the dribble, and constantly puts defenses under pressure,” coach Ben Williams said. “Her style fits exactly how we want to play, and we’re excited about her upside and the spark she’ll bring to our attack.”

Arthurs is coming off her best season yet in her college career. In 2025, she tallied career highs in matches played (17), matches started (7), minutes played (728), assists (2), points (4), shots (16) and shots on goal (7).

For her efforts, she was named to the Big 12 Academic All-Rookie Team.

In her freshman season in 2024, she appeared in 14 matches, playing 198 minutes. She scored her first career goal in a 3-2 loss to Oklahoma State in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament.
