Rachel Pollock, will become the third coach of Houston women’s golf after spending five seasons at Louisiana Monroe the program announced Wednesday.
Pollock, who earned the Sun Belt’s coach of the year honor in 2026 led the Warhawks to three NCAA regionals across five seasons.
In 2026, her team won its second Sun Belt Championship under her direction and sent the conference player of the year, Johanna Sjursen to compete as an individual at the NCAA National Championships.
“Today is a great day for the University of Houston Athletics Department and our Women’s Golf program. In a short time, Rachel built an award-winning program at ULM with young women who were outstanding on the course and in the classroom,” Nuñez said in a statement.
Pollock, a native of Ontario is bilingual in English and French.
Prior to accepting her first head coach job at ULM, she served as an assistant at Arkansas State.
As a player she competed for four seasons at East Tennessee State, where she competed in all but five events during her collegiate career.

I cannot wait to bring in student-athletes who will bring a positive impact on the course, in the classroom and in our community,” Pollock said in a statement. “The investment into Athletics and not just Women’s Golf at the University of Houston excites me. The great facilities our student-athletes have access to, the continued improvements and the exciting upcoming new projects show an ongoing investment in the golf program.”
