On Friday afternoon, it was announced that redshirt junior forward Cedric Lath had decided to leave the Cougars and enter the transfer portal per Joe Tipton of On3 on Instagram, later being confirmed when Lath reposted the post on his Instagram.
Lath was at UH for his entire college career up to this point, first joining in the spring of 2023 while redshirting.
Lath appeared in 21 games during the 2025-2026 season, all of them being off the bench, in which he averaged four minutes a game, 0.5 points, 0.7 rebounds, on 66.7% shooting from the field.
The transfer portal officially opens up on April 7.
