Tyus Thomas, the No. 1 point guard in Nevada’s 2026 high school class per 247, has committed to Houston men’s basketball, he announced Tuesday evening on his Instagram.
“Next season, I’m proud to say I’ll be attending the University of Houston, joining the program as a redshirt freshman,” he stated in the post’s caption.
Thomas unites with his older brother, senior transfer Dedan Thomas Jr., who joined the program in April.
The 5-foot-10 Henderson, Nev. native averaged 14.9 points and 3.9 assists for Liberty High School in his senior campaign.
