Purdue Fort Wayne guard Corey Hadnot II announced his commitment to Houston men’s basketball for his senior season Tuesday evening via an Instagram post.

Hadnot averaged 20.4 points, four rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for the Mastodons in 2025-26, being named an All-Horizon League First Team selection and three-time conference player of the week.

The 6-foot-3 Atlanta native and Cypress Creek High School alum started all 32 games for Purdue Fort Wayne as the Horizon League’s leading scorer, posting 18 performances of 20 or more points including a career-high 33 against Oakland on Dec. 3.

Hadnot now joins LSU junior guard Dedan Thomas Jr. and Kent State senior forward Delrecco Gillespie as members of coach Kelvin Sampson’s 2026 transfer portal class.
