Sophomore forward Elizabeth Bigala announced on her Instagram that she is leaving Houston soccer and entering the transfer portal.

“After a lot of prayer and reflection, I have decided to enter the transfer portal on May 1st. God is good! So excited for the future,” Bigala said in a statement.

In her freshman campaign in 2024, under then-coach Jamie Frias, Bigala played in three matches for a total of 35 minutes. She then missed the entire 2025 season due to injury and redshirted.

“I’m incredibly grateful to the coaches, support staff and players who have helped make me the player I am today,” Bigala continued. “To the family members and friends who continue to show love and support, thank you.”
