Houston soccer brought in a pair of SEC transfers on Wednesday, with coach Ben Williams announcing the additions of junior forward Skylar Miller from Tennessee and sophomore Bailey Cate from Texas A&M.

In her sophomore season, Miller played in all 19 games with three starts, scoring a goal and providing an assist in the 2025 campaign, earning an SEC Academic Honor Roll nod.

“She brings pace, technical quality and versatility in the attacking areas with the ability to create chances, stretch defenses and bring energy and intensity to the group every day,” Williams said in a statement. “We’re excited to have Skylar as part of our program at Houston and about the impact she’ll have on and off the field.”

The Lady Volunteers finished the season with a 12-4-3 record (6-2-2 in conference play) and a NCAA Tournament bid as a No. 3 seed, where they fell to the unseeded then-defending champions North Carolina 3-1 in the first round.

As for Cate, in her first season, she played 14 games, tallying 229 minutes for the Aggies. She ended the season logging 10 total shots.

“Bailey is a fantastic addition to our program because she brings a dynamic attacking mentality, tremendous work rate and the ability to impact a match in the final third with her creativity, skill, and goalscoring ability,” Williams said. “We’re thrilled to welcome Bailey to Houston and believe she has tremendous upside ahead of her.
