A fourth player has said goodbye to the Houston women’s basketball program, as graduate guard Kyndall Hunter’s plans to enter the transfer portal were announced on Wednesday, April 1 via on3’s Talia Goodman. It was later confirmed by Hunter herself when she reposted Goodman’s post about it on Instagram.
Hunter joined the Cougars for the 2025-26 season after spending the 2024-25 campaign at Texas A&M.
In her lone season with Houston, Hunter played a career-high 29 games, starting in a career-high 16 of them. She also averaged career-highs across the stat sheet, with 9.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
On Sunday, Feb. 1, Hunter delivered one of the best games of her college career in a home game against the Cincinnati Bearcats, scoring 20 points, grabbing four rebounds, three assists and two steals, including hitting the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, securing Houston’s 72-70 victory in its first and only Big 12 win of the season.
