Junior Alexia Duncan started off her season with two wins in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly with times of 1:50.29 and 54.67, respectively.

Duncan is one of three NCAA championship returners, and the only one amongst the swimmers.

Sophomore Megan Jones and junior Regina Torres Pomar both set personal bests in the 100-yard IM with times of 58.63 and 56.93, respectively.

In the 1000-yard freestyle, junior Mariana Cote recorded the second-best time in program history with a time of 9:56.80.

Cote is coming off a summer where she placed second in the 800 freestyles at the Central American & Caribbean games.

Lastly, senior Elizabeth Jimenez led the swimmers with three victories in the 200-yard medley relay, 100-yard backstroke (54.04), and the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Jimenez was All-Big 12 first team in 2026.

McLeod’s sweep headlines diving finishes

After making the NCAA championships last year, senior Michelle McLeod started her 2027 campaign winning three events in the 1-meter dive (309.60), 3-meter dive (325.05), and the platform (287.18).

McLeod has competed in three straight NCAA championships, along with being a two-time first team All-Big 12 selection in the platform.

Sophomore Maisy Woloszyn and junior Caroline Roelen both received top three finishes in the 3-meter and 1-meter.

The trio took home the team diving title against North Texas.

Up next, the Cougars will host Rice and Tulane for a tri-meet at CRWC Natatorium on Saturday, Nov. 7.
