Ahead of inclement weather conditions and travel challenges due to the incoming winter storm Fern, both Houston men’s and women’s basketball programs incurred game time changes from their original weekend interstate tip-offs.

Originally scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CST on Saturday, Jan. 24, No. 6 Houston men’s basketball’s rematch of No. 12 Texas Tech at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock was moved earlier to 1 p.m the same day.

ESPN’s College Gameday was set to headline the game as Texas Tech Emergency Management announced restrictions on overnight and pre-game camping on campus.

Meanwhile, Houston women’s basketball’s tip-off against No. 14 Baylor at Foster Pavilion in Waco, originally set for Sunday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. CST, was rescheduled to Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m.
